Hello, everyone! Welcome to our website. My name is Brenda Grimmett. My husband, Cecil, and I are the founders of
B & C Equine Rescue, Inc.
We founded, B &C Equine Rescue, Inc. because of my deep love for horses. Horses have been my passion since childhood. On my 16th birthday, my parents gave me a horse saved from a Kill Buyer lot. I named him Tony (pictured above). He was my best buddy and lived to 38 years old. He serves as an example that not every horse who ends up on death row, deserves to be there. In fact, many animals are victims of abuse and/or neglect. This is why Cecil and I founded the rescue. We take in horses, as we have room and they have need, whether they are young, old, starving, neglected or abused. It is here they heal both physically and emotionally until forever homes can be found.
Working with Veterinarians, Cecil and I do most of the work to save on expenses. We are incorporated and a 501c3 Charity, making your donations tax deductible.
On the following pages, you will see pictures and stories of the horses we save and have done everything possible to save. Please bear with us as we are updating the site. All of our work is done by volunteers. Once again, welcome.

THANK YOU so much ASPCA for granting us $5,000.00 to assist in enlarging our current barn to enable space for additional stalls! We are so gratefdul to be able to recieve this grant!
